A "weak" chin can be improved by a procedure called Chin Augmentation. Chin Augmentation options include implant augmentation or moving the chin bone forward. The surgical approach is patient dependent.

During this time with Dr. Levine you will be able to discuss concerns in detail and get all your questions answered. He will examine your chin and jaw to pinpoint problems. Pictures will be taken and computer imaging will be used to help educate you about the procedure(s) and allow you to create accurate surgical expectations.
Chin Augmentation Procedure Overview
Dr. Levine will make an incision either under the chin or inside the mouth. He is then able to insert the implant or move the bone depending on the surgical procedure. After he has completed the work to be done, he will close the incision with sutures. The scar will be well hidden if under the chin and not visible at all if inside the mouth.
What to Expect After Your Chin Augmentation Surgery
You will wear a dressing for 2-3 days post-operative. Mild to moderate swelling, bruising and tenderness is normal and will be managed with cool compresses, modified diet and oral pain medication if needed.
