Your Personal Consultation
During your personal consultation with Dr. Levine you will discuss your concerns and goals at length. Dr. Levine will answer all your questions and will examine your face and neck area to determine your facial anatomy, skin quality and the extent of surgery that you will need to effectively address your concerns. Taking photos and using computer imaging will better enable him to educate you about the procedures that he may recommend for you. It will also allow you to develop realistic expectations from the procedure. You and Dr. Levine will tailor your treatment plan during this appointment.
Facelift (Rhytidectomy) - Overview
Dr. Levine will make an incision hidden in the hairline (just above the ear) to the base of the ear and possibly behind the ear as needed. Working through these incisions he will lift the skin, adjust and reposition the underlying foundation layer (SMAS), trim excess skin and then re-drape the skin to a more youthful position.
What to Expect After Your Facelift Surgery
Swelling and bruising are to be expected for roughly one to two weeks following your surgery. Most of Dr. Levine’s patients are able to return to work within one to two weeks.
